About The Artist
I am a self taught artist and freelance graphic designer from Aurora, Illinois. My artwork includes a variety of art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, digital design, apparel, and mixed media pieces.
From an early age I would always draw monsters, aliens, fantastical creatures and I have always held a fascination with science fiction, horror, and fantasy art. As I got older, I found that I was drawn to modern surrealists including Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte, and contemporary artists like H.R. Giger, Ralph Steadman and Chris Mars. I have also found great inspiration from comic book artists such as Dave McKean, Wayne Barlow and Bernie Wrightson.
I further explored new artistic mediums and discovered an interest in sculpture. I continued to develop and sell my skull and monster sculptures at horror conventions, markets, and online. I eventually decided to get back into creating more traditional art and expanded into mediums such as acrylic paints, watercolors, pastels and non-traditional substrates.
“Looking back, I feel better about my art than I did 18 years ago, and I’m still trying new things. Ultimately, I just want to try to create cool art that makes me happy. “
My work has been featured in local art events and horror conventions including: Flashback Weekend (Rosemont, IL), Days of the Dead (Schaumburg, IL), Walker Stalker Con (Rosemont, IL), Oddities and Curiosities Expo (Villa Park, IL), Pancakes and Booze (Chicago, IL), Bad Ass Art Show (various Chicago Suburban Locations), Bones and Cones (Chicago, IL), ArtBar (Aurora, IL), and Alley Art Festival (Aurora, IL).
